- Sales Engineer is a professional whose role is to act as the principal point of contact between a business and its key customers who are more technically oriented and demand engineering level support, you should utilize your technical knowledge along with sales skills to sell and provide advice and support on a range of products & services for which a certain level of technical expertise is needed as well as problem and product understanding is required, you need to ensure current customers have the right products and services, identify new markets and customer leads, pitch prospective customer, and execute the sales transaction from quote to payment all while maintaining good customer relations and pursuing new sales opportunities. You are responsible for initiating and overseeing the entire sales cycle towards meeting your sales targets, acting as the direct point of contact and in charge of ensuring customers’ needs and expectations are met guiding their customers through the purchase process efficiently and satisfactorily.
